Camp Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the camp hours?
A: Regular camp hours are 9am until 12pm for 3 year olds and 9am until 3pm for 4 year olds and up.


Q: Does my child have to be a student of Saint Albans to attend?
A: No, the camp is open to all children.

Q: How much are the weekly camp fees?
A: Full day/full week camp fees are $425. Half day camp fees (3 year olds only) are $350. There are no credits or adjustments for missed days or early pick-ups.

Q: When do I need to register by?
A: All registrations must be complete by May 15, 2017.


Q: Are there options for early drop off or after camp hours?
A:   Yes. Early drop off at 8:30am is available for an additional $25 per work. After camp hours Monday through Thursday from 3-5pm is available for campers 5 year old and up for an additional $125per week.

Q: Does my child have to bring their own lunch?
A: Yes campers should bring their own lunch daily, preferably in a disposable bag. Disposable lunch bags are required on swim days or trip days. We will provide morning and mid-afternoon snacks.

Q: What type of activities will the campers do?
A: Daily activities of comic book writing, jewelry making, collage making, creating projects/costumes for weekly theme, drama, cooking projects, science experiments, and various arts and crafts. We will play a variety of sports including wiffle ball, soccer, basketball, football, and races/obstacle courses. Games including board/card games, scavenger hunts, water games, tag, circle games, and games focused on team building and skills development.

Q: Will the campers go on trips?
A: Discovery Camp and Adventure Camp will take field trips centered on our weekly themes.  Walking and public transportation will be utilized for all trips. Trips may include visits to the Intrepid, Central Park or Bronx Zoo, New York Hall of Science, Sony Wonder Lab, Hayden Planetarium, New York Aquarium, various museums, South Street Seaport, etc.

Q: Will there be swimming?
A: Discovery Camp and Adventure Camp will go every Tuesday to spend the day at either John Jay Park on 77th Street or Asser Levy on 23rd Street. The morning will be spent at the pool doing free swim and instruction from our counselors. Campers will then have lunch in the park followed by playground play and games in the afternoon. Please send your child with a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen every Tuesday morning. 


Q: How can I register?
A: There are two ways to register.
Pay by Credit Card by completing the registration form on the main camp page. Complete the credit card authorization form.  Mail  or email the registration form and authorization form to the school. We'll confirm your registration upon receipt of the registration form and processing of the credit card for payment. 

Pay by Check by completing the registration form on the main camp page. Make check payable to Saint Albans School for the registration fees. Attach the check to the registration form and mail both to the school. We'll confirm your registration upon receipt of the check and registration form.
