S.P. Miller, Headmaster

Mr Miller is the the Headmaster at Saint Albans.  He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a MTh from Oxford University.


Dorothy Francke, Office Manager

Ms. Francke has attended Pace University and New York University studying business and marketing.  Ms. Francke manages the school and church office.

Elementary School Faculty

Kristy Ayala (Grade 2-3)

Ms. Ayala teaches Grade 2-3, She holds a B.A. in Spanish and Education from UC Davis and an M.A. in Bilingual Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She previously has taught in first grade and has helped run the Saint Albans Homework Help program and Summer Camp program.

Claire Delaroche (French)

Ms. Delaroche teaches French at the elementary grade levels.  A native of Paris, Ms. Delaroche holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Paris.  She has taught French at the PreK and elementary level for many years.


Meghan Harrington (Religion)

Ms. Harrington teaches religion in the elementary school, as well as serves as our director of admissions. She holds a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) from McGill University in Montreal.

Bernadette Hoke (Music)

Ms. Hoke teaches music at Saint Albans.  She holds a B.A. in music from University of the Pacific and a M.Mus. (piano performance) from the Manhattan School of Music.  In addition, Ms. Hoke holds a Colleague Certificate from the American Guild of Organists.  Ms. Hoke has extensive experience in both music performance and education.  In addition to her work at Saint Albans, Ms. Hoke serves as the Director of Music at the First Reformed Episcopal Church and leads the Upper School Instrumental Ensemble at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan.  Ms. Hoke is also a member of the Birk and Hoke Piano Duo, which performs concerts throughout the year in New York and other cities.


Claire Merkert (Grade 4)

Ms. Merkert is our Grade 4 teacher. She holds a B.A. in Education from Miami University. Ms. Merkert taught at Our Lady of Mercy School in Potomac, Maryland, for over four years. She also taught at Graham Memorial Preschool while living in San Diego prior to moving to New York City in the summer of 2016.

Jessica Mueller (Middle School Math/Science)

Ms. Mueller teaches middle school maths and science. She earned her B.S. in Education from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and an M.A. in Elementary Education, specializing in math, science & technology, from Hofstra.  Prior to joining the Saint Albans faculty, Ms. Mueller taught at church schools on Long Island.


John Munnelly (Technology)

Mr. Munnelly is our Grade 2-8 Information Technology (IT) teacher. He has studied internationally and holds several certificates in Technology and Multimedia Studies, primarily from Manchester College of Arts and Technology (MANCAT), Manchester, UK.  Mr. Munnelly has been working in the IT field for 20 years. During that time, he has taught Multimedia at MANCAT, MS Word & Excel at the Emerald Isle Immigration Center, multi-tasked as IT Director in a fast-paced e-commerce start-up, and has several years experience as a contractor/consultant in web and technology. In addition, he has hands on experience in arts based programs in the audio, live sound and graphic design fields.

Kimberly Zoccolillo (Grade 1)

Ms. Zoccolillo is our Kindergarten classroom teacher. She earned her B.S. in Education from Adelphi University. Ms. Zoccolillo has taught in Kindergarten classrooms in both public and private schools in New York. She has also led a variety of extracurricular programs for children, including gymnastics, basketball, and other physical education programs.


Preschool Faculty

Ms. Lewis holds a B.A. in Biblical and Theological studies from Nyack College in Rockland, NY, and is currently finishing her Master of Divinity with a concentration in Hebrew at Alliance Theological Seminary. Ms. Lewis has extensive experience teaching children of all ages.

Katie Hicks khicks@saintalbansnyc.com
Ms. Hicks is one of our lead Pre-K 3 teachers. She holds a BFA from SUNY Fredonia and an M.S. in Early Childhood from Hunter College. Ms. Hicks has experience working with children  in both classroom settings and childcare settings.
